GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Three members of the Gettysburg women's lacrosse team, two members of the field hockey team and one member of the women's golf team were named to the Division III Academic All-District at-large team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on July 8.
The following Bullets women's lacrosse players were honored as part of the program:
- Senior Lily Macatee (Street, Md./North Harford), a business, organizations and management major
- Senior Lauren O'Connell (Winchester, Mass./Winchester), a business, organizations and management major
- Senior Sophie Smith (Great Falls, Va./Langley), a business, organizations and management major
The following Bullets field hockey players were honored as part of the program:
- Senior Katie Regan (Millburn, N.J./Millburn), a health sciences major
- Senior Olivia Regan (Millburn, N.J./Millburn), a health sciences major
The following Bullets women's golfer was honored as part of the program:
- Senior Anne Harrower (Glenside, Pa./Springside Chestnut Hill Academy), a health sciences major
Mactaee, Smith,
Katie Regan and
Olivia Regan all earned their second straight honor after also being selected last season.
To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average and must be a starter or significant reserve. Up to six eligible student-athletes per institution can be selected to the all-district team.
