THE REST OF THE STORY
• Gettysburg controlled the run of play for most of the game's first 70 minutes before York made a late push and tilted the field. The Spartans had a flurry of activity off a corner kick before stealing an eventual goal kick. Drawing the keeper out, Meg Kaithof finished in a wide-open net to the game's lone goal with just over 10 minutes to play. The Bullets had three looks off two quick corner kicks with just under six minutes to play, including two from
Abigail Fitzsimmons from short range.

• Teresa Gonzalez made seven saves to earn the shutout for the Spartans.
• Gettysburg finished with an 11-7 advantage in shots with four of York's shots coming in the flurry that led to its goal.
