Biography

The Byrne File: One of several players who will compete for a starting linebacker job…Serving as a team captain.

2008: Played in eight games...Made his first collegiate start against Hampden-Sydney and logged a career-high five tackles……Finished with 14 takedowns for the season…Dealt three hits against Johns Hopkins and Franklin & Marshall.

2007: Played in six games as a member of the special teams unit…Made four tackles, with two coming against Dickinson.

2006: Missed most of the season with a knee injury.

High School: Was an honorable mention all-state selection at Urbana High School...Also captured all-county and second team all-conference honors…Helped team win a league co-championship and earn a No. 12 state rank.

Personal: Born April 12, 1988...Son of Francis and Mary Byrne..Uncle, Jack Clark, played football at Louisiana State…A biology major.
