Peter Como (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) made a season-high six saves, lifting the Gettysburg College men's soccer team to a 1-0 non-conference victory at Goucher College Saturday afternoon.

Parker Delmolino (Monroe, Conn./Fairfield Prep) due to injuries, is now off to its best start through five games since the 2006 squad also started 4-1. Goucher dropped to 2-3.
Pyros drilled in a long-distance shot into the top-right corner of the net for his first goal of the season and the fifth of his career. It proved to be enough for Como, who made a save in the 80th minute to preserve his second clean sheet over his last three outings.
In the first half, the Bullets held an 8-7 edge on Goucher in shots but were unable to dent Nicholas Stolarz, who registered three of his four saves in the opening stanza.
The Gophers turned up the offensive pressure right away in the second period, reeling off six shots in the opening 16 minutes. But Como made three saves during the stretch and finished with four in the half, when Goucher held an 8-2 shot advantage.
The Bullets return to action on Wednesday, when they visit Eastern Mennonite University at 7 p.m.
