Box Score ARLINGTON, Va. – Four different players accounted for the Bullets' four goals and the Gettysburg College men's soccer team earned a 4-0 victory at Marymount University in a non-conference tilt Wednesday evening.
It was the fourth-straight victory for the Bullets (7-1), who scored all of their goals over a 19-minute flurry at the end of the first half and have equaled their best start through eight matches since 2006. Gettysburg, ranked seventh in the Mid-Atlantic Region on Tuesday, is also on its longest winning streak since a six-gamer midway through the 2007 campaign.
Sophomore
Henry Smith (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) posted one goal and one assist for the Orange and Blue, which outshot Marymount 33-2, including 20-0 in the first half. The Bullets, who posted their fourth shutout of the season, did not allow a shot on goal.
Logan Cropper finished with seven saves for the Saints (2-6).
Despite outshooting Marymount 7-0 over the first 23 minutes, it was a scoreless match until Smith provided Gettysburg with all the scoring it would need when he converted off a feed from freshman
Baki Bawa (Tamale, Ghana/Milbrook School [N.Y.]) for his team-leading fifth goal of the season.
Senior
Christian Pyros (Shavertown, Pa./Dallas) made it 2-0 in the 29th minute, when he took a dish from sophomore
KJ DePontes (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) and scored his second goal of the year.
Smith assisted on freshman
Patrick Santini's (Old Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) goal – his third of the season – in the 37th minute, and first-year
Michael Farese (Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) capped the scoring in the 44th minute with his first collegiate goal. Senior
Parker Delmolino (Monroe, Conn./Fairfield Prep) provided the assist.
Gettysburg outshot the Saints 13-2 in the second half, but Cropper saved all four shots on goal in the period.
Sophomore
Peter Como (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) started in goal for the Bullets and played the opening 81:29. Freshman
Alex Nestor (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) came on for the next 4:03 before classmate
