Gettysburg had its top five runners place in the top 79 overall to finish eighth as a team at its own Aubrey Shenk Invitational. The Bullets scored 235 points.
THE LEADERS
•
Maddon McNicholas (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) led the Bullets with a 23rd showing, posting a time of 26:24.3 on the 8,000-meter course.
FOR THE FOES
• GRC-Tracksmith won the 20-team invitational with 30 points. Messiah was the top finishing collegiate team in second with 66 points.
• Keith Carlson won the individual title with a time of 24:36.3.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Austin Hudak (Boonton Twp., N.J./Mountain Lakes) crossed the line 63rd with a time of 27:15.1.
•
Mick Lorenger (Alexandria, Va./Thomas Edison) was 65th with a time of 27:18.9.
•
Jayden Craig (Westminster, Md./Westminster) finished 76th with a time of 27:33.5.
•
Colin Carpenter (Ridgefield, Conn./Wooster School) placed 79th with a time of 27:35.7.
•
Joe Zimbler (Nesconset, N.Y./Smithtown East) was 123rd (28:27.3) while
Andrew Ersin (Wynnewood, Pa./Lower Merion) was 131st (28:43.4).

Ben Cole (139th, 28:58.8),
Matthew Wagner (159th, 29:37.3),
Matthew Kurek (183rd, 30:40.1),
James Higinbotham (206th, 32:24.9),

• A total of 226 runners competed at the 8,000-meter distance.
