Gettysburg wins 11 events in victory at F&M

THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 21st in the CSCAA coaches' poll, won 11 of the 14 events and swept the top three spots in four events to defeat Franklin & Marshall, 180.5-79.5.

THE LEADERS
• Olivia Pyott (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Twp.) won three events to lead the Bullets and was one of four Gettysburg swimmers to win a pair of individual races. Individually, she swept the breaststroke events, taking the 100 in a time of 1:08.32 and the 200 in a time of 2:27.08. She also helped open the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay.
• Maggie Sedlak (Darien, Conn./Darien) won the 200 butterfly (2:11.12) and 500 freestyle (5:25.39).
• Ava Berry (Raleigh, N.C./Sanderson) touched first in the 1000 free (10:51.99) and 400 IM (4:39.78).

FOR THE FOES
• Madi Bickford led the Diplomats as part of all three wins for the hosts. She posted individual victories in the 50 free (25.21 seconds) and 100 free (54.90). She also led off Franklin & Marshall's winning 200 free relay to close the night, joining Erin Suter, Sophie Moyer and Rachel Baker to post a time of 1:41.22.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Lanie McKenzie (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington), Olivia Pyott, Kristen Racicot (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) and Ava Collin (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) led off the night with a win in the 400 medley relay, posting a time of 4:04.58. Gettysburg took the top three spots in the opening relay. Lindsay Blake (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East), Maya Knoller (Bernardsville, N.J./Newark Academy), Maggie Sedlak and Olivia Evans (Egg Harbor Twp., N.J./Egg Harbor Twp.) were second with a time of 4:07.06.
• Ava Berry led three finishers in the top four in the 1000 freestyle, winning by nearly 17 seconds. Emma Anderson (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset) touched second (11:08.88) while Paige McKim (Robesonia, Pa./The King's Academy) was fourth (11:29.76).
• Caitlyn Evans was first to the wall in the 200 free with a time of 2:00.40. Ava Collin placed third (2:04.00) and Lindsay Blake was fourth (2:05.68).
• McKenzie added an individual victory in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:01.38. Audrey Csokmay (Potomac, Md./Richard Montgomery) and Delaney Reck (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) were third (1:02.54) and fourth (1:02.83), respectively.
• The Bullets then swept the top three spots in both the 100 breaststroke and 200 butterfly. Pyott led the trio to the wall in the breaststroke. Knoller (1:10.19) and Morgan Saunders (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) (1:11.77) followed her home. Racicot (2:12.99) and Gracie Spataro (Darien, Conn./Darien) (2:19.01) followed Sedlak to the wall in the fly.
• Olivia Evans was second in the 50 free (25.46) then came right back and placed fourth in the 100 free (56.72) while Collin was second in the 100 free (55.51).
• Mia Morreale (Short Hills, N.J./Millburn), who was tied for third in the 50 free with a time of 25.94 seconds, won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:11.85. McKenzie added a second-place finish (2:12.53) to her two wins.
• Pyott and Saunders (2:36.56) went 1-2 in the 200 breaststroke before Sedlak won the 500 free.
• Racicot nabbed her first collegiate individual win, touching first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.27, edging Knoller, who was second with a time of 1:01.68.
• The final sweep of the night came in the 400 IM. Berry led Caitlyn Evans (4:45.23) and Anderson (4:48.98) in a 1-2-3 finish.
• Collin, Morreale, McKenzie and Olivia Evans rounded out the night with a second-place finish in the 200 free relay (1:41.45).

THE INSIDE STORY
• Eight different Bullets recorded at least one victory in the meet.
