THE SKINNY STORY
Mia Morreale (Short Hills, N.J./Millburn) became Gettysburg's highest individual finisher at a national championship event in 18 years to claim All-America honors and lead the Bullets at the 2026 NCAA Div. III women's swimming and diving championship.
WEDNESDAY RECAP:
•
Lanie McKenzie (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) and
Mia Morreale (Short Hills, N.J./Millburn) opened the week in the 200 IM. McKenzie placed 26th with a time of 2:05.60 while Morreale was 34th with a time of 2:06.65.
• The 400 medley relay of McKenzie,
Maya Knoller (Bernardsville, N.J./Newark Academy),
Morgan Puckett (Healdsburg, Calif./Cardinal Newman) and
Delaney Reck (Pawcatuck, Conn./Stonington) placed 23rd with a time of 3:53.92.
THURSDAY MORNING RECAP
• The 200 free relay group of
Delaney Reck,
Valerie Lawton (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury),
Mia Morreale and
Maya Knoller just missed a spot in the finals, placing 17th with a time of 1:33.85. The mark ranks second in program history.
FRIDAY RECAP
• The 200 medley relay of
Lanie McKenzie,
Maya Knoller,
Morgan Puckett and
Valerie Lawton finished 20th with a time of 1:44.05, which ranks fourth in program history.

Mia Morreale won her heat of the 100 backstroke with a program-record time of 55.96 seconds but placed 19th overall in the field. McKenzie placed 42nd overall with a time of 57.27 seconds.
• The 800 free relay of Lawton, McKenzie, Morreale and Puckett posted a time of 7:42.36 for the No. 6 time in program history, finishing 21st in the event.
SATURDAY MORNING RECAP
•
Mia Morreale qualified fourth in the 200 backstroke to make her first final, missing her own program record by 0.07. She posted a time of 1:59.70 to earn a spot in the championship final.
Lanie McKenzie placed 41st in the same event with a time of 2:07.88.
• Morreale and McKenzie bookended the 400 free relay, joining
Delaney Reck and
Valerie Lawton to finish 13th with a program-record time of 3:25.47 to claim a spot in the consolation final.
SATURDAY NIGHT RECAP
• Morreale had a strong close to her 200 backstroke, finishing sixth in the championship final to become the Bullets' first first-team All-American since Keira Heath in 2008, who was fifth in the 1650 free, and the first in the 200 backstroke since Lynn Cassidy was fifth in 1992. Morreale touched with a time of 2:00.86.
• The 400 free relay added a group All-America honor to round out the week. Reck, Morreale, McKenzie, and Lawton combined to post a time of 3:27.57 to finish 15th.
