THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had three wrestlers finish in the top three in their respective weight classes to finish fifth at the 2024 Centennial Conference wrestling championship hosted by McDaniel. The Bullets finished with 42.5 points.
THE LEADERS

Luke Kowalski (Derwood, Md./St. John's College) won the title at 141 to make it back-to-back titles after claiming the 133 title last season. He received a bye into the finals, where he toppled Muhlenberg's Andrew Loniewski, 8-3.
FOR THE FOES
• Ursinus won the team title with 93.5 points, outdistancing second-place McDaniel by 23 points. The Bears had just two individual champions.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Gavin Pascoe (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) finished second at 157. He opened the day with an 11-5 win over Muhlenberg's Chris Sockler before advancing the finals by edging Johns Hopkins' Connor Powell 11-10 in the semifinals. Pascoe then dropped a 4-2 decision to McDaniel's Xavier Howard in the title bout.

Ethan Composto (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) opened his day at 157 with a 19-4 technical fall win over Muhlenberg's Alex Greco. In the semifinals, Composto fell to top-seeded and eventual champion Thomas Monn (McDaniel), 3-2. Composto advanced to the third-place match with a 10-7 win over Johns Hopkins' Freddy Pimental in the consolation finals. Composto then notched a 13-10 sudden-victory win over Merchant Marine's Edward Pinc to finish third.

Tank Spelta (Elkridge, Md./Georgetown Prep),
Brendan Callahan (Woolwich Twp., N.J./Kingsway Regional),
Justin Richey (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) and
Simon Taylor (Alexandria, Va./Woodberry Forest School) all finished fourth at their respective weight classes.
• Spelta dropped a 12-1 major decision to eventual champion Joey Lamparelli (Muhlenberg) in the semifinals at 125 before Spelta notched a 20-5 technical fall of Calvin Burton (Merchant Marine) in the consolation semis. In the third-place bout, McDaniel's Romeo Tsai pinned Spelta at the 4:22 mark.
• Callahan fell 5-2 in sudden victory to Jagger Clapsadle (Ursinus) in the 133 semifinals before topping Merchant Marine's Wesley Wydick 9-3 in the consolation semis. In the third-place match, McDaniel's Alex DuFour edged Callahan, 9-7.
• Richey opened his day with a 5-1 win over Muhlenberg's Nick Stump before Shawn Marchesano (Ursinus) pinned Richey in the final seconds of their 165 semifinal match. Richey then recorded a pin of his own, taking down Merchant Marine's Matthew Ferrucci in 1:22 in the consolation semifinals. Jake Hoffmann (Johns Hopkins) defeated Richey in the third-place match, 4-2.
• At heavyweight, Taylor dropped a 5-0 decision to Merchant Marine's Reid Garrison in the semifinals. Taylor then defeated Jake Pomykata (Johns Hopkins) 8-2 in the consolation finals before falling to Andrew Franklin (Muhlenberg) by fall in 3:26 to place fourth.
