THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg secured a late win over Muhlenberg to key a split in a conference trimatch. The Bullets defeated the host Mules 23-18 before Merchant Marine won the final five bouts for a 31-17 victory.

Ethan Composto (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) led the Bullets with two wins – both by technical falls.

• Anson Dewar led the Mules with a second-period pin.
• Tyler Withers had a 1-minute, 8-second pin to lead the Mariners.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the opening match against Muhlenberg, Joey Lamparelli and Frank DiEsso staked the hosts to an 8-0 lead with a pair of major decisions. Lamparelli won the 125 bout 13-1 before DiEsso claimed a 12-2 victory at 133.
Brendan Callahan (Woolrich Twp., N.J./Kingsway Regional) then started a run of four straight victories for Gettysburg to take a 16-8 lead. Callahan recorded a 10-7 win at 141 before
Ethan Composto notched a 19-3 technical fall in the third period to even the match at 8-all.
Gavin Pascoe (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) and
Ean Wilson (Gardners, Pa./Boiling Springs) both won by major decision. Pascoe took the 157 match 18-7 before Wilson won 11-3 at 165.
• Anson Dewar snapped the run with a 4-minute, 18-second fall at 174 to close the margin to 16-14. Ryan Fairchild put the Mules back in front by two with an 11-3 win at 184.

Phil Nave (Venetia, Pa./Peters Twp.) recorded a takedown in sudden victory to notch a 5-2 win and give Gettysburg a 19-18 edge with one bout remaining.
Simon Taylor (Alexandria, Va./Woodbury Forest School) locked down the victory with a 10-2 major decision win at heavyweight.
• Against Merchant Marine,
Noah Hinkel (Marietta, Pa./Donegal) staked Gettysburg to a 6-0 lead, winning by forfeit at 125. Wesley Wydick drew the Mariners even with a fall late in the second period. A 4-1 Callahan win at 141 and second technical fall from Composto 18-1 midway through the third period gave the Bullets a 14-6 lead.
Gavin Pascoe won his second of the day, capturing a 7-4 victory at 157 to make it 17-6 but Merchant Marine won the final five bouts for the victory.
• Maxwell Corral notched a sudden-victory win at 165 before Austin Manning recorded an 11-2 major decision at 174 to make it 17-13. Three straight falls – two in the first period – from Tyler Withers, Daryl Cowley and Reid Garrison secured the Mariners' win.
