THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had three wrestlers place in the top six at the Mideast Futures tournament hosted by College of New Jersey. The Bullets finished sixth in the 12-team field with 33 points.
THE LEADERS

Joseph Dietz (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) placed third at 157. He started a 15-1 technical fall midway through the second period before adding a 7-4 win over Wilkes' Mitchell Sutter. Tyler Venet got a late pin of Dietz in the semifinals before Dietz came back to win the third-place match by technical fall 22-7 midway through the final period.

Andrew Fabian (Budapest, Hungary/Moricz Zsigmond Gimnazium) finished fifth at 149. He fell in his opening match 17-10 to Millersville's Elias Smith before winning four straight in the consolation bracket. He had two technical falls to start his march through the wrestlebacks before a 13-3 major decision and medical forfeit to finish fifth.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Ean Wilson (Gardners, Pa./Boiling Springs) was sixth at 157, going 5-1. He started with a 14-9 decision before falling to the consolation bracket after Tyler Roe (Stevens) recorded a 17-5 major decision. Wilson then had a 17-0 technical fall in the second period, pin at the 6:16 mark, first-period 16-0 technical fall and 10-3 decision before having to bow out before the fifth-place bout.

Connor Hoefling (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) went 3-2 at 165. He started with back-to-back pins – both midway through the second period – before falling to the consolation bracket. He won by major decision 16-2 but his day ended with a 2-minute, 41-second pin by Ursinus' Derek Giodano.
• Torey Falkingburg (Brielle, N.J./Manasquan) made it to the semifinals before finishing fourth. He opened with a pair of decisions, 12-5 and 5-3 before falling 4-2 to TCNJ's Ahmed Hussian in the semifinals and Wilkes' Ben Grater in the third-place match by the same score.

Danny Carrozza (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) also went 2-2 at 141. He had a late pin to open his day and defeated Stevens' Joseph Bodnar in the first match of the consolation bracket but dropped decisions by scores of 10-6 and 10-2.

Justin Musmanno (West Windsor, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro North) went 2-2 on the day at 149. After falling in his opening match 13-7, he won by fall in 1:00 and recorded an 11-4 win.

Tank Spelta (Elkridge, Md./Georgetown Prep) went 1-2 on the day. After falling by technical fall in the opening round, he pinned Teague McCormack of Ursinus late in the first period but then had his day end 8-1 to McDaniel's Ricky Dixon.

Jason Dubrasky (Staten Island, N.Y./Poly Prep) won one match at 149, taking a 12-7 decision over Penn College's Marcus Tapper.

Sam Gouveia (Summit, N.J./Summit) and
Ryan Gallagher (Fountainville, Pa./Pennridge) both recorded a win at 174 before their days were both ended by TCNJ's Isaiah Ruiz. Gouveia started his day with a 2-minute, 35-seocnd pin while Gallagher had an 8-5 win in the consolation bracket.

James Doliscar (Bayshore, N.Y./Northfield Mount Hermon) added one win at 197, winning by fall in 4:41 in his opening match.
