THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had two wrestlers finish third in their respective weight classes to punch a ticket to the NCAA Div. III championship by virtue of their finish at the 2025 Region III regional hosted by Messiah. The Bullets finished eighth as a team at the 16-team regional with 69.5 points.
THE LEADERS

Gavin Pascoe (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) placed third at 157 to advance to the national championship meet for the first time. Pascoe opened his day by edging York's Frank Gulli 14-13 before dropping a 19-4 match to eventual champion Cooper Pontelandolfo (NYU) in the quarterfinals. Pascoe tehn worked his way back with a 6-3 win over Bret Murphy (King's) to advance to Saturday. He opened his second day with an 8-2 decision over Tallion Elloitt (Marymount) before downing Messiah's Clay Gainer 4-1 in sudden victory in the consolation semifinals. In the third-place bout, Pascoe notched a 7-3 win over Merchant Marine's Edward Pinc.

Justin Richey (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) started with a 15-0 technical fall over Delaware Valley's Matt Mushinski in his path to a national qualifier at 165. In the quarterfinals, Richey pinned NYU's Hassan Khan just 19 seconds into the second period before falling to top-seeded and eventual champion Matt Lackman (Alvernia) by fall in the semifinals to start Saturday's action. Richey downed Elizabethtown's Justice Hockenberry-Folk 7-4 in the consolation semifinals before notching a 6-3 win over Messiah's Keegan Demarest in the third-place bout.
FOR THE FOES
• College of New Jersey won the regional team title with 174.5 points, bettering Alvernia by 37 points.

Ethan Composto (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) finished fourth at 149, just missing making it a third qualifier for the national championship. He notched a 5-4 win over King's Shane Kibler and 22-5 technical fall of Urinus' Max Parnis in the first two rounds to advance to the semifinals. On Saturday, his day started with a 2-0 loss to McDaniel's Thomas Monn, the regional champion, in the semifinals. Composto won the consolation semifinal by major decision 11-2 over Messiah's Dalton Monger before Alvernia's Chance Babb got a 4-1 sudden-victory win in the third-place bout.

Brendan Callahan (Woolrich Twp., N.J./Kingsway Regional) placed sixth. He opened the weekend with a 16-0 technical fall in the second period over McDaniel's Joe McKneely. TCNJ's Sam Kotch turned the tables in the quarterfinals with a tech fall in the third period, 21-4. Callahan then notched a second technical fall and a 6-3 win the consolation bracket before falling in the consolation semifinals 13-0 to Messiah's Shaun Quirk and 3-2 to Tyler Kadish (NYU) in the fifth-place match.

Phil Nave (Venetia, Pa./Peters Twp.) was also sixth at 197. His weekend started with a 25-8 third-period technical fall before falling in the quarterfinals 8-2 to regional runner-up Will Davis (Elizabethtown). Back-to-back pins in the consolation bracket moved Nave to the consolation semifinals, where Messiah's Sawyer Dereszynski grabbed an 18-3 technical fall after just one period. Marymount's Mohammed Fofana then pinned Nave in the second period of the fifth-place match.

Kobe McHugh-Moore (Harrisburg, Pa./Camp Hill) grabbed one win at 174, notching a 1-minute, 58-second pin in the consolation bracket.

Simon Taylor (Alexandria, Va./Woodbury Forest School) opened his weekend at 285 with a 3-1 win in a tiebreaker in the opening round before dropping his next two bouts.
