MANHEIM, Pa. – Four members of the Gettysburg wrestling team were announced as 2025 Division III Men's Scholar All-American Award recipients, released by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) recently.
Sophomore
Brendan Callahan (Woolrich Twp., N.J./Kingsway Regional), freshman
Andrew Fabian (Budapest, Hungary/Moricz Zsigmond Gimnazium), junior
Phil Nave (Venetia, Pa./Peters Twp.) and junior
Justin Richey (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) earned the honors for the Bullets.
They were among 462 honorees from 103 institutions were honored. To be recognized, student-athletes have demonstrated excellence both on the mat and in the classroom. Athletically, an individual must have placed in the top eight in the regional tournament or wrestled in at least 15 matches with a winning percentage of 66 percent or better. Academically, an individual must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.2 or an average GPA of 3.2 or greater over the last two semesters.
