Gettysburg 15th in preseason coaches’ poll

NORMAN, Okla. – Off an 11th-place finish at the NCAA Division III championship last spring, Gettysburg opened the 2025-26 season ranked 15th in the Bushnell/Golfweek Division III preseason coaches' poll.

The ranking is the best for the Bullets after closing last season ranked 17th in the coaches' poll.

Gettysburg had its best season in program history in 2024-25, posting a 293.7 stroke average as a team over 28 rounds with six tournament victories. The Bullets' top four golfers had a stroke average of better than 76 over the year.

Patrick Kilcoyne (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) had a 72.5 average over 26 rounds last year and leads the returners for fifth-year head coach Jason Badecki. Kilcoyne posted 13 rounds at or below par and six top-five finishes in 10 events that included an individual win at the UMHB Invitational last fall and the individual Centennial Conference championship.

Daniel Casanta (Pinehurst, N.C./Pomperaug) also returns after averaging 74.9 over 28 rounds. He posted nine rounds of par or better.

In total, the Bullets carded 51 individual rounds of par or better and 11 team rounds under 290.

Gettysburg opens the fall schedule at The Gate City Invitational hosted at Forest Oaks Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. on Monday and Tuesday.
