THE SKINNY STORY
All seven Gettysburg runners placed in the top 46 overall, leading to a third-place finish at the NCAA Div. III Mid-Atlantic Regional hosted at Lock Haven's West Campus. The Bullets scored 150 points in its best finish at a regional championship since finishing second in 1992.
THE LEADERS
•
Gabrielle Thiry (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day School) led the Bullets with a 16th-place finish, posting a time of 21:43.4 for the program's best time on the Lock Haven course.
FOR THE FOES
• Johns Hopkins won the regional championship with 34 points to earn the automatic qualifying spot to the national championship. Carnegie Mellon was second with 76 points.
• Washington & Jefferson's Claire Anderson won the individual title with a time of 21:04.9 – seven second better than the field.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Ava Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) crossed the line 23rd overall with a time of 22:06.8.

Sarah Smith (West Chester, Pa./Unionville) was 32nd with a time of 22:19.

Kathryn Hopkins (Taneytown, Md./Winters Mill) finished 40th with a time of 22:34.9 while
Rowe Crawford (Swarthmore, Pa./Strath Haven) was right behind her teammate in a time of 22:36.3.

Carys Cook (Wimberley, Texas/Lauralton Hall) was 45th (22:40.7) while
Elyse Tancini (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) was 46th (22:45.4).
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 217 runners competed at the 6,000-meter distance.

Gabrielle Thiry is the first Gettysburg runner to break 22 minutes in an NCAA regional race since Kerrin Epstein ran 21:45.4 at the 2009 Mideast Regional.
