Hall of Athletic Honor
She lettered three years as a varsity field hockey and basketball player. She played in the all-college, Central Penn and Mid-East Tournaments two years in a row and in each case was selected to advance to the national tournament. Throughout her career she played wing and was considered one of the best.
She dominated the basketball scene. She scored 296 points during the 1954-55 season, including a 28-point performance against Lock Haven. The year before she scored 15 or more points in five games.
She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with highest honors in Health and Physical Education and Biology - a double major. Following graduation she became one of the few women in the country to rise to the rank of Colonels in the Army.
