Gregory Stevcic possessed a will to win that helped two athletic programs achieve unprecedented success.

In the fall, Stevcic was the top scorer and playmaker for the men’s soccer program. His breakout campaign came in 1995 when he shattered team records with 21 goals and 49 points. Stevcic tallied eight game-winning goals as the Bullets set a program record with 17 victories and advanced to the NCAA Division III playoffs. As a junior, Stevcic paced the team with 23 points. He gained another first-team all-conference selection and was tagged all-region first team.

Stevcic capped his soccer career by being named All-America First Team, All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team, CC Player of the Year, and All-CC First Team in 1997. He turned in a dozen goals and set a program standard with 15 assists. The Bullets advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals and finished the year ranked fifth in the country – its highest ranking ever. Stevcic finished as the program’s career leader in goals (45), assists (33), points (123), and game-winning goals (16).

After the conclusion of each soccer season, Stevcic headed to the pool. He was a regular scorer at the conference meet, advancing to the finals of the 200-yard individual medley four times and helping the Bullets claim four consecutive team championships.
A native of Medford, N.J., Stevcic graduated from Gettysburg with a degree in management.
