Hall of Athletic Honor
Considered the greatest field hockey player Gettysburg has produced, she was named to the second All-America team her sophomore year. As a junior she became Gettysburg's first All- America player and only one of two collegiate players selected that year. As an All-America, she toured with the United States team throughout England, Ireland, Scotland and Denmark. She came back to captain the Gettysburg team her senior year and received her third All-America honor. It was during her senior year that she led Gettysburg to a stunning 4-1 win over powerful West Chester.
Besides her field hockey talents, she was also an outstanding member of the basketball team for four years.
She died suddenly on October 31, 1972.
