This 5'11", 216-pound fullback was extremely hard to stop once he got rolling. The honors he garnered included a second team All-American selection as a sophomore and first team All-American each of his last two years. He was a three-time All-Conference selection, as well as a three-time ECAC player of the week. He was the nation's number two scorer as a junior, and he capped his illustrious career by being named Chevrolet Player of the game in an ABC regionally televised football game.

By the time he graduated, he had established no less than 13 college records - enough to send him into the National Football League as a free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles.

During his four years of college football, he carried the ball 736 times, rushed for 3,805 yards and tied a 28-year College record by scoring five touchdowns in a single game. He was Gettysburg's first football player to rush for more than 1,000-yards in a single season. In all those carries, he lost only six yards, on each his freshman and senior years and two each his sophomore and junior years.

He graduated with a major in health and physical education.
