Ten years after her graduation from Gettysburg, Spencer remains the track and field program's fastest woman. An 11-time conference champion and four-time All-American, she continues to hold the program's outdoor records in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.

Spencer gained instant recognition as a freshman by breaking the program's 100-meter record and winning that event at the 1992 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) outdoor championships. She was named the Most Outstanding Athlete at the following year's MAC meet after winning the 100 and 200, and helping the Bullets finish third out of 18 teams.

As a junior in 1994, she asserted her dominance on the newly founded Centennial Conference and beyond. She won a total of five gold medals to help Gettysburg capture both the indoor and outdoor titles, qualified for the NCAA championship meet and earned All-America accolades in both the 100 (placing second by five one-hundredths of a second) and 200 (sixth).

Spencer wrapped up her stellar career by defending her conference titles in the 100 and 200, making a return trip to the NCAA meet and earning two more All-America nods. In her four seasons, the Bullets posted a dual record of 23-7.

A native of Hershey, Pa., she graduated from Gettysburg in 1995 with a degree in health and physical education.
