Colleen Dunn remains the most prolific goal scorer in the history of the Gettysburg women’s lacrosse program.

Nobody before or since has managed to hit the net more times than Dunn did in the mid-90s. During her four-year career, she scored a school-record 230 goals – 45 more than anyone else in school history at the time.

Dunn was named all-conference and all-region in each of her four campaigns. In 1995, she became the first Bullet to break the 100-point barrier, notching 101 on the strength of a school-record 88 goals. Dunn set a Centennial Conference benchmark with 11 goals – 10 of which came in the first half – in a victory over Susquehanna. She was named All-CC First Team, All-Region First Team, and All-America Third Team after leading the Bullets to the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Championship and a school-record 13 wins.

As the team’s captain in 1996, Dunn wrapped up her career by leading Gettysburg with 77 points and 67 goals. She earned a spot on the All-America Second Team and was tagged first-team all-conference and first-team all-region.

Dunn finished her tenure as the school’s all-time leading scorer with 272 career points.

A native of Chatham, N.J., Dunn graduated from Gettysburg with a degree in economics.
