Hall of Athletic Honor
He came from Pheonixville, Pa., as a right end and a right halfback on the football team. He was a good player, but his main interest was in track. He ran the 100, 220, 440, a leg on the mile relay team and he long jumped. Several times during his career, he joined three other Bullets in running in the Penn Relays.
He utilized his engineering talents to not only manage the track team, but build the school's first oval track on Nixon Field.
An educator by profession, he continued to follow track and field by officiating at the Penn Relays, Gettysburg's home meets and the conference championships.
