An 18-time conference champion and eight-time All-American, Kelly Brennan secured her spot among Gettysburg’s all-time great swimmers.

From the start, Brennan established herself as one of the top performers in the Centennial Conference, claiming six titles at the conference meet and leading Gettysburg to the team championship as a freshman. She went on to earn All-America status in six events, including first-team honors in the 200 butterfly and 200 freestyle relay.

Brennan swept the 100- and 200-yard fly titles at the conference meet in each of her first three seasons. In 1998, she established school records in both events at the national meet with a pair of fourth-place finishes, earning first-team All-America status once again.

Brennan won six more conference titles and led Gettysburg to another team championship during her junior year. After qualifying for the national meet early in her senior season, Brennan’s shot at a four-peat in the 100 and 200 fly races was cut short due to injury.

A native of Wayne, Pa., Brennan graduated from Gettysburg with a degree in English.
