Hall of Athletic Honor
She arrived a year after Gettysburg inaugurated women's swimming with a 2-2 record. Her class started a record string of winning seasons which lasted though the century.
As a freshman she became Gettysburg's first individual All-America swimmer in the 50-freestyle and joined three teammates on the 200-medley relay squad that achieved All-America recognition. She went on to gain All-America honors in the 50-butterfly and 200-medley relay as a junior and as a member of the 400-medley relay team in 1978. On the conference level, she won the 50 and 100-butterfly her first year and 50-freestyle as a senior. She won a total of 16 medals by placing in various MAC events during her career and established no less than 14 school records. She was the leading scorer on the team as a sophomore and ranked in the top three in both of her final two seasons.
She received her degree in Religion and later graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary.
