A two-sport varsity athlete throughout her four years, Davis was a key member of Gettysburg's first-ever conference champion field hockey squad as well as a pioneering member of the College's very first intercollegiate women's lacrosse teams.

A fullback with the field hockey program, she helped a young Bullet squad allow only 12 goals in eight games during her freshman season of 1971. At the conclusion of her sophomore campaign, she helped her team roll up a 3-0-1 record at the 1972 Central Penn Tournament. The following season, she earned her first selection to that event's all-tournament team.

Her finest field hockey moments, however, came as a senior in 1974. After suffering through a four-game winless streak, Davis and the Bullets reeled off five straight victories to capture the fledgling Penn-Mar Conference's inaugural championship and the program's first conference crown. At that season's Central Penn Tournament, she earned first-team honors after spearheading a defense that didn't allow a single goal in five games.

A member of Gettysburg's first varsity women's lacrosse team in 1972, she also served as both a team manager and the squad's co-captain during the Bullets' first winning season in 1974. A year later, she scored four goals on the first and only undefeated team in program history.

A native of Springfield, Pa., she graduated from Gettysburg in 1975 with a degree in sociology and anthropology.
