With a rare combination of power and speed, Boehmcke propelled the men's lacrosse team to an unprecedented four-year run of success, all the while re-writing the Bullets' record book.

A four-year starting attackman, he led the team with 53 points during his sophomore campaign of 1981, setting a program record for assists in a season (34). As a junior, he tied fellow attackman and classmate Neill Mitchell for the team scoring lead with a program-record 54 points and earned the first of two selections to the All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) first team.

He enjoyed his best season as a senior in 1983, setting career highs for goals (37), assists (37) and points (74) while earning All-America status and leading the Bullets to their second-ever MAC championship. He was also a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association all-star that year and graduated as the program's all-time leading scorer, fittingly tied with Mitchell at 197 points apiece. At the time of his induction, he was one of only two Bullet players with over 100 career assists (114).

In addition to his individual accomplishments, Gettysburg won 34 games during his four seasons, the most victories over a four-year span during the program's first 19 years.

A native of Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., he graduated from Gettysburg in 1983 with a degree in business.
