Hall of Athletic Honor
A Harrisburg, Pa., native, he began his collegiate career in 1924 as a popular president of the Freshman Class. Despite being one of the smallest and thinnest athletes Gettysburg had known, he could handle himself well among the best.
He played halfback on the football team, was one of the smallest forwards in college basketball and he ran the 440 in track. His list of accomplishments in all three sports is among the school's best.
