Hall of Athletic Honor
She played field hockey for four years. After being named to the Central Penn reserve team her freshman year, she made the first team her remaining three seasons. As a junior she was named to the Mid-East first team and competed in the national tournament in Philadelphia. Playing from the left back position, she was named team captain her senior year and again was a member of the Mid-East squad.
She became an outstanding scorer in basketball, again playing all four years. As a freshman, she averaged 12 points per game, second highest on the team. She was again the number two scorer as a sophomore, but by her senior year, she developed into an exceptional play maker. She accomplished all of these things during a period when women's basketball was not the level into which it later evolved.
She received departmental honors when she graduated and was named the first recipient of the prestigious Clair B. Knorr Award.
