In a program that has seen more than its share of success and national recognition, Scott Dillman distinguished himself as one of the first All-Americans in Gettysburg lacrosse history.

Dillman spent four years as a member of the men’s lacrosse team, helping the squad post the first three winning seasons in program history. Over his tenure, Gettysburg accumulated a record of 33-21 and won the 1976 Middle Atlantic Conference Championship.

A two-time MAC All-Star, Dillman achieved national recognition in 1979 when he was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America Third Team, becoming the first All-American defender, and second lacrosse All-American overall, in Gettysburg history. Additionally, he was named first-team All-MAC Defense and first-team All-Tournament at the Suncoast Classic Tournament.

Named second-team All-MAC Defense in 1978, Dillman anchored a defensive unit that allowed fewer than seven goals per game over his final three seasons. He closed his career by representing Gettysburg as a member of the South in the annual North/South Senior All-Star Game.

A native of Southboro, Mass., Dillman graduated from Gettysburg in 1979 with a degree in economics.
