Hall of Athletic Honor
Playing out of his attack position, Mick was the leading scorer on the Bullet lacrosse team for four straight years. By the time he graduated he had established four school records - points in a career and season, and assists in a career and season. Up through the 90's he remained among the top 10 career scorers at Gettysburg.
Despite the team's 5-8 record his sophomore year, his talents surfaced. He played a major role in wins over North Carolina State, Miami and the University of Florida. He finished the year with 21 goals and 17 assists. He continued a blistering pace his final two years of competition. As a senior he drove home key goals in another win over North Carolina State, a narrow 13-9 loss to Duke and a 17-4 romp over Georgetown. By the end of the campaign he had slammed home 22 goals and 27 assists in leading Gettysburg to its first conference championship.
He graduated cum laude with departmental honors in biology and was named an Outstanding College Athlete in America.
