Emerging as one of the leading cross country runners in the Middle Atlantic Region, she became Gettysburg's number one runner as a sophomore. That year, she captured the runner-up spot in the conference championships following a 25th place showing as a freshman. She qualified for the NCAA championships after placing seventh in the regional meet. Her 25th place time of 20:04 gave her a spot on the All-America team.

Despite a ninth place finish in the regionals her junior year, she missed qualifying for the nationals, but bounced back strong as a senior. She was third in the conference meet in 19:04 and was second in the NCAA regional meet. However, she missed being an All-America at nationals despite her 18:07 clock.

Women's track became an intercollegiate sport her senior year and she was named the first team captain. She set team and conference records for the 5,000, 3,000 and 1,500-meter runs and was named the conference's outstanding female athlete. Her 3,000-meter record of 10:34.7 stood the test of time for many years.

The Potomac, Md., native graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
