Hall of Athletic Honor
He was one of the few players in those days who played four varsity years because the freshman ban was lifted. In that initial year he played in 15 games before he tore ligaments and tendons in his knee forcing him to the sidelines the rest of the season. However, so impressive was his performance that he was named to the AP Honorable Mention All-State list. He led the team in scoring that year.
During his sophomore year, he fractured his elbow but had played enough to warrant being named to the Little Three All-Star team. Despite another chipped elbow his junior year and sidelined five games, he scored 198 points in the 21 games in which he payed. He played cautiously his senior year and managed 14 points per game.
Some of his career highlights include hitting a jump shot on the buzzer to upset Penn State 66-65, 11 points in a narrow 58-57 loss to Virginia, and 19 points and many rebounds in a 62-46 win over Delaware.
