Hall of Athletic Honor
He came to Gettysburg from his native York, Pa., and became what one newspaper described as "the toughest, meanest offensive center in the game today." He had to be because he was 5'11", 165-pounds. He played an important role in the success of Gettysburg football during his three years in school. The teams had a combined 18-8-2 record. The two ties were against Penn and Penn State on back-to-back weekends in 1906.
