Gettysburg College Athletics

Jack was a true scholar-athlete as he graduated with honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

A native of Paulsboro N.J., he was twice named to the All-Eastern Pennsylvania Basketball Conference Team. He led the conference in scoring his senior year and was among its leaders the previous two campaigns. He played end on the football team and was a member of the College's first golf team in 1937. His track accomplishments included a 2:10.8 for the 880-yard run and a 5:04 for the mile run.
