Gettysburg College Athletics

He captained the basketball team as a forward and center and was an exceptional scorer and strong leader. Because of his strong hands in basketball, he was an outstanding pass receiver as a halfback on the football team.

A product of Renova, Pa., he was a catcher on the baseball team and never batted less than .375 in any of his last three varsity years.
