Hall of Athletic Honor
Back in the early 30s he knew who he was and where he was going. He was a math and history major, president of the student body, vice president of the student tribunal, captain of the basketball team his senior year and winner on nine straight varsity letters.
He came from Bethlehem, Pa., and started his career on the undefeated freshman football team. As a sophomore, he played on a basketball team which never lost a home game. During his junior year he threw a TD pass to beat F. and M. As a senior, his punting helped win the Juniata game, his extra point won the Ursinus game and his 26-yard field goal beat Dickinson.
He contributed greatly to the basketball team's 14-2 record, the best in the school's history. He ended his baseball career with a stunning four-hit 12-1 win over Mt. St. Mary's.
