Hall of Athletic Honor
He was an extraordinary natural athlete. As an end on the football team, he was named the ECAC's "Unsung Hero of the Week" for his play in a 14-13 win over Delaware. He received honorable mention All-East that year. As a junior he made Williamson's mid-bracket All-America honorable mention list and in his senior year, served as co-captain for four games. He was as strong a defensive player as he was a pass receiver.
He played forward and center on the basketball team for two years, playing the sixth man. He recorded over 200 rebounds in that short time.
He divided his springs between baseball and track. After earning a letter as a pitcher he moved to track where he consistently high jumped over 6'1". He lettered two years and was the leading point producer his senior year.
Following graduation, he spent 30 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a colonel.
