Prowling the secondary with speed, tenacity and some of the best ball-hawking instincts Gettysburg has ever seen, Barr was a four-year letterwinner on the football field and helped the Bullets to three consecutive Centennial Conference championships from 1983-85. He earned All-America status as a member of the 1985 squad that reached the NCAA Division III semifinal.

Barr, an All-Centennial Conference selection and a Kodak All-American as a senior in 1985, still holds the school record for interceptions in a season with 12 during his senior campaign. Those 12 picks remain a Centennial Conference single-season record. Additionally, Barr continues to hold the Gettysburg career interceptions record with 18 picks.

For his career, Barr recorded 105 solo tackles and 32 assisted tackles, returned his 18 interceptions for 178 yards and one touchdown and broke up 32 other passes. He also recovered four fumbles.

Barr also spent time as a high jumper on the Gettysburg track & field team.

A native of Cherry Hill, N.J., Barr graduated from Gettysburg in 1986 with a degree in management.
